Application of high strength steel (HSS – S420 and higher grades) is growing nowadays in the civil engineering praxis due to numerous advantages compared normal (NSS S235-S355). The accurate consideration flexural buckling resistance HSS structures highly important design. Higher yield indicates applicability smaller cross-sections, which might be more sensitive for stability problems. purpose current study (1) investigate behaviour welded rectangular box section columns (2) propose a reliable column curve.
